Development of a robotic cell for recognition and handling of glass products on a conveyor using machine vision systems
Voronin K.A., Kuznetsova K.A., Fedosova L.O., Zolotov A.V.
Abstract

The paper presents the development of a robotic cell for automating the packaging of glass products on a conveyor line at a subsidiary of the Borsky Glass Factory. The existing technological process, based on manual removal of items, involves monotonous labor and a risk of damaging fragile products. The proposed solution integrates a collaborative robot, an industrial camera with an external trigger, a capacitive sensor, and an encoder with a signal converter to track the belt position. The novelty of the approach lies in the comprehensive integration of these devices through the robot controller without using a dedicated programmable logic controller. Currently, the part of the system responsible for detecting glass items using the Hough transform method upon a sensor signal has been implemented and tested. Work is underway to integrate encoder feedback for synchronous gripping on a moving conveyor. The results can be applied in glass industry enterprises and in educational processes.

Sensitivity analysis of control parameters for an adaptive point cloud partitioning algorithm
Glumova E.S.
Abstract

The paper considers the application of a hierarchical point cloud partitioning algorithm based on the BVH structure (Bounding Volume Hierarchy) aimed at reducing data volume while preserving morphological information. The study analyzes a partitioning algorithm based on a modification of the classical SAH (Surface Area Heuristic) cost criterion by supplementing it with morphological metrics. The main focus is on assessing the algorithm’s sensitivity to the weighting coefficients λD and λH, which determine the contribution of the proposed metrics — local density contrast (Δdens) and point distribution along a selected axis (Δheight). The sensitivity analysis of the control parameters has shown that the introduced weighting coefficients exert a predictable influence on the partition structure. Experiments with varying point count thresholds in the nodes confirmed the ability to control the granularity of the resulting BVH structure and the segment size distribution, which allows formulating practical recommendations for parameter selection depending on the required level of detail. The experimental validation demonstrated the operability of the proposed algorithm and its applicability for generating morphologically homogeneous and semantically interpretable segments from laser scanning data of various structures.

Development of an experimental sample of an automated system for metered supply of nanopowders for functional-gradient nano-alloying in the WAAM 3D printing process
Edakin A.A., Laisha A.K., Anosov M.S.
Abstract

The paper presents an experimental automated system for metered nanopowder feeding in functional-gradient nano-alloying during WAAM. The system comprises a gas preparation unit, scalable hopper cells, digital flow meters, and a PLC- and PC-based control unit; these elements provide metered controlled supply of nanopowder compositions into the weld pool. Particular attention is paid to the driven throttle unit, which enables dynamic adjustment of the gas-powder mixture concentration. Within the work, a test bench integrated with WAAM equipment was assembled. Tests with PAP-1 powder and 08G2S wire confirmed the operation of the metered feeding system.

Regression test ranking coefficients in new projects
Zarubin I.B., Filinskikh A.D.
Abstract

The paper discusses an approach to forming an expert group for assigning coefficients in a regression test ranking approach for new information system development projects. A comprehensive set of ranking criteria for a regression test suite is proposed. An approach is formulated for assigning coefficients in the regression test ranking approach for new projects based on the expert evaluation method.

Analysis of the dependence of geometric model restoration time on the number of constituent elements
Kurushin E.A.
Abstract

The dependence of geometric model restoration time on the number of assembly parts during data transfer from CAD systems to virtual modeling environments is investigated. A methodology for 3D model transfer is defined, and time expenditures for manual model restoration are experimentally determined. Based on the obtained data, a regression analysis was performed using linear, logarithmic, power, and quadratic models. The results allow for the estimation of time expenditures for the restoration of geometric models when transferring them from CAD to a virtual modeling system. It was established that the.stl format is optimal for transferring geometric models from SolidWorks 2020 to Blender 3.4.1. The.wrl format has certain nuances, while the.ply format transferred the assembly as a single integrated object.

Formalization of the cumulative loss coefficient in multi-step CAD model translation
Serova M.A.
Abstract

This study addresses the assessment of cumulative losses in two-stage cascade translation of geometric models between CAD systems. To account for losses repeatedly identified at successive transformation stages, a loss-overlap share (Δ) is introduced. The theoretical bounds of this quantity are derived from the loss coefficients of direct translations, and a normalized indicator is proposed for comparing routes with different loss levels. A total of 110 experiments were conducted using part and assembly models and neutral as well as system-specific data formats. In all cases, the calculated values of (Δ) were within the corresponding theoretically admissible intervals. The normalized values were predominantly concentrated near the upper bound, indicating substantial overlap between the losses of the first and second translation stages in the investigated sample. When the same format was used at both stages, the normalized loss-overlap share reached its maximum value. The proposed model is intended for interval estimation of cumulative losses in two-stage CAD translation routes.

Development and verification of a method for generating expert assessments of interfaces based on visual features and expert weight coefficients
Khaleeva U.I.
Abstract

This work continues a series of studies aimed at developing an expert-heuristic method for evaluating graphical user interfaces. The paper addresses the problem of automating the generation of assessments according to ten usability criteria based on objective visual characteristics of the interface. The extraction of low-level visual features from screenshots, the formation of a training dataset based on three reference interfaces, and the generation of assessments for two new interfaces of different types are described. A comparison with actual expert responses (taking into account weight coefficients) is presented. A conclusion is drawn about the applicability of the method for preliminary interface screening and about ways for its further improvement.
